Grace in the Way We Work With People

Grace in the Way We Work With People

Christian responsibility includes not only what we accomplish, but how we treat the people God places around us.

Ephesians 4:32 (NKJV)
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.

Work and responsibility are not only about completing tasks. They also reveal how I treat the people God places around me. Patience, kindness, humility, and forgiveness become part of Christian responsibility because faith is meant to shape both what I do and how I do it.

Ephesians 4:32 points me back to Christ. I do not extend grace because every situation is easy or because every person responds well. I extend grace because I have received grace. The Holy Spirit works beneath the surface, changing motives and affections so that Christian character can grow into daily conduct. That makes Monday more than a list of duties; it becomes another opportunity to let Christ shape the way I work, speak, and respond.

“The life-giving power of the Holy Spirit... renews the motives and affections, and brings even the thoughts into obedience to the will of God.” — Ellen G. White, This Day With God, August 31; Review and Herald, August 31, 1911.

Practical Application

Choose one interaction today—at work, at home, or in your responsibilities—and deliberately respond with patience, kindness, or forgiveness.

Closing Prayer

Father, let my faith shape the way I carry my responsibilities and the way I treat people. Renew my motives through Your Spirit and help me reflect the grace I have received from Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
