The hope God gives is meant to steady us and then flow outward through gratitude, encouragement, service, and care.
Hebrews 6:19 (NKJV)
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast.
Hope in Christ is not something I am meant to keep to myself. When I remember the grace God gives day by day, gratitude grows—and gratitude should eventually become generosity, encouragement, service, and care for others.
Hebrews describes hope as an anchor. That steady hope becomes something I can steward. I can carry it into relationships, offer encouragement to someone facing change, or serve someone who needs to be reminded that God has not abandoned them. The grace I receive becomes more meaningful when it shapes the way I respond to others.
“Through the grace given daily by Christ, they may be elevated and ennobled to become the sons and daughters of God.” — Ellen G. White, This Day With God, September 3; Letter 196, September 3, 1903.
Practical Application
Write down one way God has been faithful to you recently. Then turn that gratitude outward by encouraging, serving, or checking on one person today.
Closing Prayer
Lord, thank You for the grace and hope You give me each day. Keep my soul anchored in Christ, and teach me to steward that hope by encouraging and serving others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
