God sees the vulnerable. And He calls His people to see them too. *”You shall not pervert justice due the stranger or the fatherless, nor take a widow’s garment as a pledge.” — Deuteronomy 24:17*
Ellen G. White said it so plainly it stops me every time:”God’s word sanctions no policy that will enrich one class by the oppression and suffering of another.”— The Ministry of Healing, p. 187
And again she wrote:”When all has been done that can be done in helping the poor to help themselves, there still remain the widow and the fatherless, the aged, the helpless, and the sick, that claim sympathy and care. Never should these be neglected.”— The Ministry of Healing, Chapter 13
It is easy to be kind when people are doing well. The real test of character is how we treat someone at their lowest — when they can offer us nothing in return.Jesus never took advantage of the broken. He drew near to them. He touched the untouchable. He defended the forgotten.Today, someone around you may be carrying a burden you cannot see. Ask not “What can I gain?” — but “How can I help?”That simple shift reflects the heart of Christ. 💛🙏 Heavenly Father, give me a heart that reflects Your compassion. Help me lift others up rather than profit from their pain. May my actions today point someone to Jesus. Amen.
✨ May you be blessed this day. — Kay
